Where Are We At?
The halfway point of the campaign is in sight as we enter Week 9, while simultaneously brushing so close to the halfway mark of the statewide goal!
At the close of Week 8, the campaign stands at $373,573.87 received from 3,135 contributors! The ghost of campaigns past has creeped ahead of us, though. Consequently, it’s important to keep information about the campaign in front of employees and submit reports as soon as possible to ensure we’re making steady progress.
Boosting Engagement:
- Share the charity story below with your co-workers to remind them of the campaign’s importance.
- Consider hosting a bake sale, cookoff, or a holiday-themed event to increase engagement.
- We still have a few more Belk Charity Sale tickets left — claim yours ASAP! This event is happening from November 8th-11th at all store locations. Tickets are $5.00 and can be distributed among your co-workers for a donation toward your department’s goal. The tickets earn them $5.00 off during the Charity Sale, as well as access to many other discounts! To receive Belk Charity Sale tickets, send a reply to this email or give the SCC office a call at (334) 269-4505.
Whatever you do, thanks for your hard work!
Y’all know how to “Give for the Gold!”
Week after week more and more departments are making their mark on this year’s campaign! Congratulations to this week’s gold medalists…
Share An SCC Story!
This week, we’re highlighting Children’s Center of Montgomery. Serving children and young adults with disabilities, their mission is to provide optimal opportunities for each client to reach his or her highest potential.
Be sure to circulate this story among your coworkers to get them connected with what the SCC is all about!
Meet Lee!
Lee is a 37-year-old young man who has been attending Children’s Center Adult Program (CCAP) for about a year… When he first started, he was very shy and kept to himself… He is now always smiling and runs in the building when dropped off in the morning. The staff has discovered that his has a creative streak that he has used to complete some amazing art projects.
John D. Rockefeller, Jr. once offered the exhortation, “think of giving not as a duty but as a privilege.” It is with this heart that we invite each Alabama state employee to give toward making a difference! Thank you for leading the way in this important feat of generosity.
