Today wraps up the first full week of the 2024 State Combined Campaign! I was reminded of a quote by Andrew Carnegie, in which he said…
“Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives.
It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.”
Working together as fellow state employees toward the common vision of enabling local charities to make an impact in the community is what we’re all about! Paint this picture of teamwork and shared vision for your coworkers, encouraging everyone to give for the gold! Any level of participation and a donation of any amount goes a long way in supporting Alabama charities.
In week 1 of the 2024 campaign, a great foundation has been set that I am confident each department and individual state employee can build upon. With a great show of support from over 150 contributors, we currently stand at 3.3% of our $785,000 statewide goal having raised $25,942.00!
Several departments (and their internal divisions/sites) are off to a great start, with a few having already met their department/site goal. They’ve sprinted toward the finish line and have helped the SCC to close out Week 1 with a great preliminary report. Congratulations to these departments and internal sites that have met their goal!
