Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday! On December 3rd, a global movement will be taking place to celebrate generosity and small acts of kindness. With 4 weeks left in this year’s campaign, it is absolutely vital to intentionally and consistently engage employee about contributing to the SCC. Giving Tuesday presents the perfect opportunity to do that!
Here are a couple of ways you can engage your department on Giving Tuesday (December 3rd) …
- Talk to employees one-on-one about why and how to give
- Send a personal email from the department administrator encouraging employees to give — leading by example makes a huge difference
- Send out a memo with information about the State Combined Campaign attached
- Hand out pledge cards in the office
- Utilize discount cards to solicit giving
Where Are We At?
At the close of Week 13, the 2024 campaign currently stands at $569,468.95 pledged by 5,016 contributors.
This puts the campaign at 72.54% of its $785,000.00 goal. Participation has caught up to 2023 numbers in crossing the 5,000 givers mark! Nonetheless, it remains low only 14.09% of Alabama’s 33,000 state employees contributing. Ensure that each employee has the opportunity to give!
Remind employees of the great giving option available through payroll deduction. As we say, “it’s a gift you’ll never miss that someone else will never forget.”
