Always Grateful! Week 12 Update

In a week dedicated to being thankful, I’m reminded of an important value from the SCC Coordinator Training: expressing gratitude to each donor. It takes sacrifice to donate any amount of money to charity; so many employees across the state of Alabama have demonstrated that level of generosity thus far. This week and in the coming weeks, remember to show gratitude toward each employee who submits a pledge card. They’re making this campaign a success!

Through their support and generosity, the 2024 campaign is ending Week 12 with $542,817.87 pledged by 4,745 contributorsThis puts the campaign at 69.15% of its goal and 14.09% participation. Let’s continue working to see both those numbers increase!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for diligently working to benefit Alabama charities!

Remind employees of the great giving option available through payroll deduction. As we say, “it’s a gift you’ll never miss that someone else will never forget.”

In a mad dash to the finish line, these departments blew past their goal! Congratulations to this week’s gold medalists

Hearing individual stories of success are vital to understanding the profound change that SCC donations fuel. This week, we’re highlighting Hope Inspired Ministries and their mission to serve unemployed individuals by preparing and equipping them to obtain, maintain, and excel at employment.

Be sure to circulate this story among your coworkers to get them connected with what the SCC is all about!

Meet Devon!

Devon was born in Jasper, Alabama, and has fond memories of his elementary and middle school years. Unfortunately, after the loss of his grandmother when he was only twelve years old, his mother began to party and use drugs to cope with her loss. Devon began selling drugs in order to provide for himself and for his little brother.
