Janice Capiluto Center for the Deaf:

Past Tense

  • Your generous donation of $50.00 could provide an hour of interpreting services for a man who is deaf and needs a communication link in order to resolve a serious food stamp issue.  Through the use of an interpreter, he was able to correct the problem and once again provide food for his family.  It is your financial assistance that made this possible.

  • A donation of $100.00 dollars provided interpreting services for a father to attend the funeral of his son, who was killed while serving our Great Country.  Without that service, he would not have been able to understand the wonderful things that were said during the eulogy.  One hundred dollars also provided services for a woman who was deaf so that she could fully participate in her daughter’s wedding and understand every moment of this once-in-a-lifetime event!

Future Tense

  • Your generous donation of $50.00 to $100.00 or more could provide interpreting services in a variety settings. Your donation could allow an individual who is deaf to resolve a serious financial issue, or pay for the interpretation of a military funeral for a soldier’s family. Your donation could also allow parents who are deaf to participate in their daughter’s wedding, and to fully experience the “I do” moment.
